No. A market valuation from a real estate agent compares your home with recent sales and current listings. An appraisal is a formal report by a designated appraiser, which a lender may ask for.
How is this different from an online estimate?
Online estimates are produced automatically from public data. They cannot take account of things like your home's condition and upgrades, which Kaushik reviews from the details you give him.
